By now most of you interested in growing longer eyelashes have tried Latisse or are contemplating it.  For those of you who have purchased it, you know that each kit comes with 60 disposable brushes to apply it with.  And for those of you who have purchased it from us and received a much better brush complimentary as our gift, you have probably wondered what to do with all of those clunky brushes.

Okay, if you are like me you have NO IDEA what a VLOG is… until now. A vlog is a video on a blog and its the hottest form of blogging.  You will soon be able to click on a video clip on this blog and view me actually speaking to you (unless its a bad hair day!) and also demonstrating procedures.

My goal is to educate, inform and entertain but also make this blog more personal.  Hopefully you will enjoy this new feature.  Please comment on this blog entry if you would like me to speak about or demonstrate something specific.

Beginning in August I will be offering Botox, Juvederm and Radiesse treatments in Lahaina, Maui.  Since Maui is my favorite Hawaiian island, my husband and I decided to set up a small part-time practice there.  Don’t worry Orange County patients, I’ll only be going there every 6-9 weeks, usually for less than a week, so it won’t cut into my time taking care of all of you in Laguna Niguel.

We recently returned from an extremely interesting trip to Prague and Budapest.  I didn’t realize how much history I would learn while I was there.   We all hear the stories of WWII, the Holocaust and Communism in Eastern Europe (”behind the iron curtain”) but actually being there and hearing the stories of what everyday people like you and I had to go through during those troubled times puts it in a new, closer-to-home perspective.  Some of my family came from this part of the world and many luckily escaped death from the Nazi’s by coming to America.  Others were not so lucky.

Prague is a beautiful, vital city that was spared bombing during WWII, so it has many different types of architecture, well preserved, from many different periods of history.  Budapest rebuilt itself after the destruction during WWII.  Unfortunately it was rebuilt during its communistic days.  Buildings built during this period epitomized what communism was like for the people: gray, stark, prison-like, poorly constructed.  Aesthetics were of no concern at all so beauty was out, working hard, solely for the government was in.  Still, Budapest was very interesting and definitely worth visiting.

If any of you are visiting that part of the world and would like recommendations on places to visit or tour guides (we had some fantastic day tours) please send me a comment/question.
